Jan-Olivier Kuijkhoven
Jan-Olivier's advisory practice focuses on larger employers and the legal profession. Change management, mergers and acquisitions, and various early retirement issues are some of his areas of expertise.
After studying tax law at the University of Amsterdam and spending a year in general tax advisory practice, Jan-Olivier chose the pension field in 1996. He was immersed in this field at a Big 4 firm. In 2006, he founded KWPS together with his colleague Natasja Winter. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisors and has numerous pension-related publications to his name.
Jan-Olivier derives great pleasure from working with the multidisciplinary and involved KWPS team, positively surprising clients, and being innovative. In his free time, Jan-Olivier is often found in the woods with his family and dogs.
Natasja Winter
Natasja guides companies and Works Councils through pension change processes due to amended legislation or acquisitions. She also advises on (early) retirement schemes and sustainable employability as well as on employee benefits during restructurings and reorganizations. These aspects also come into play during due diligences, where she supports various law firms.
Natasja studied tax economics at the University of Amsterdam. She started as a tax advisor in 1996 and has been working in the pension sector since 1998. She worked for nine years at a Big 4 firm and two years at an insurance company as an advisor in the tax-legal department. In 2006, she co-founded KWPS. Natasja is the chair of the Pension section of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisors. Additionally, Natasja regularly publishes articles, is a co-author of several pension publications, and has been a guest lecturer at Maastricht University for many years.
Natasja is the treasurer of the Amstelveen Rugby Club where her two sons have played for many years, and she enjoys watching their matches on weekends. She also loves putting on her running shoes to go for a long run.
Edwin Knoth
As the office manager, Edwin ensures that everyone can do their work well and efficiently. He thrives particularly in the areas of IT, HR, and finance. His dedication and focus enable the consultants to fully concentrate on our clients.
After studying commercial economics at ISER in Rotterdam, Edwin gained experience at MeesPierson, KPN, the Ministry of the Interior, bol.com, and SOLV attorneys. He held various roles at these organizations.
In addition to being an office manager, Edwin is also a sommelier and enjoys vacationing in regions where he can both hike and enjoy good wine. In the summer, you can find Edwin at Bodhi Beach in Zandvoort, working in the service area. There, he occasionally helps out and enjoys advising customers on which wine pairs best with their meal.
Patricia Zonneveld
Patricia deals with various issues such as pension change processes, early retirement, complex management issues, and actuarial calculations. Her passion lies in managing complex and large-scale projects. Her client portfolio consists of (medium) large employers, increasingly referred by a growing network of lawyers.
After completing her studies in Econometrics & Operations Research at the University of Amsterdam, Patricia started at KWPS in 2013. In 2022, she completed the Pension Law program at the Vrije Universiteit and is now a Certified Pension Consultant. Patricia holds various Wft diplomas, enabling her to not only provide in-depth advice but also mediate in the arrangement of pension and other insurance products.
In her free time, Patricia enjoys spending time with her family, playing tennis, and doing fitness.
Dirk de Wit
Dirk advises on contract renewals, pension change processes, mergers and acquisitions, and issues at the intersection of taxation and actuarial science. He is also well-versed in absence and disability insurance. Additionally, Dirk provides employers with straightforward insights into expected personnel and financial developments when adhering to one or more collective labor agreements.
Dirk chose the pension field early in his career. After completing his bachelor's degree in General Economics, Dirk graduated in 2013 with a master's degree in Economics and Finance of Aging. This study is affiliated with Netspar, the knowledge network for pensions and retirement provisions. Dirk started as a consultant at KWPS in 2014, after working for a year at a pension fund.
The more complex the (pension) question, the more enthusiastic Dirk becomes. Outside of work, Dirk enjoys traveling and reading fantasy books.
Roy Vliese
Roy is affiliated with KWPS as of counsel. He assists national and international clients with due diligence, rulings with the Tax Authorities, objection and (higher) appeal procedures, mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings. Roy also has special expertise in the field of equity-based compensation.
After studying tax law at the University of Amsterdam, Roy specialized in payroll taxes. He started his career as an inspector at the Tax Authorities. He then worked at KPMG Meijburg & Co. and now has over 25 years of experience in the field of payroll taxes. Roy is a partner at Tekz Tax Advisors.
Roy is a member of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers (NOB) and serves on the board of the Payroll Taxes Section of the NOB. He has several publications to his name.
Danny Wolf
Danny's work is very diverse. One moment he is setting up a pension scheme, while the next he is delving deep into a participant database to verify if all the data is correct. Alternatively, he might be developing a program that can automate common recurring tasks. He is often involved in mathematical problems and plays a role when large amounts of data need to be analyzed.
During his studies in actuarial sciences at the University of Amsterdam, his interest in the pension field was sparked. With his mathematical background, Danny has been actively involved with KWPS since October 2019. He enjoys approaching solutions from a programming or mathematical perspective. Additionally, he finds great satisfaction in explaining complex matters in simple terms. Many colleagues, therefore, seek Danny's support for projects.
Outside of work, Danny has a passion for board games, video games, and music. Whether he is enjoying a strategic game night with friends or listening to his favorite music, he always makes time for his hobbies.
Iris Derks
Iris manages pension schemes and supports HR departments by focusing on complex tax and legal issues, including early retirement schemes, RVU assessments, and (sustainable) employee benefits questions. She has been working at KWPS since 2022.
With her education in labor law and tax law from Leiden University, supplemented by experience at renowned accounting firms and the NOB training program, she provides expert advice on both tax and civil matters. Her broad interests, enthusiasm, and approachability make her a connecting factor.
Outside of work, Iris enjoys creative activities such as painting and cooking, as well as spending pleasant moments playing games, having coffee (and cake) out, or an evening at the cinema.
Fabiënne Emmen
Fabiënne takes on various roles in the field of employee benefits and pensions. She collaborates with other consultants in the advisory and mergers and acquisitions practice and has a preference for the legal side of matters.
Fabiënne completed her Master’s in Labor Law at Leiden University at the end of 2023. During her studies, she worked at several large law firms. She also held a seat on the board of her master's study association to build a (legal) network. She is a member of the Labor Law Association and the Pension Law Association.
Fabiënne excels in a challenging and dynamic advisory role, making her a perfect fit at KWPS. She thrives in a dynamic and no-nonsense work environment where development and job satisfaction are paramount. To relax, Fabiënne enjoys exercising, reading a good book, or visiting a museum.
Stan Fey
Stan plays a pivotal role between the client and Dutch insurers and premium pension institutions. In this context, he carries out various tasks, including managing clients' pension contracts, checking the output of pension providers, requesting, comparing and negotiating quotes and assisting in drawing up advice on insured solutions and investments.
Two months after after completing his bachelor's degree in Finance, Tax and Advice at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, Stan joined KWPS. During his studies he obtained several Wft diplomas, making him qualified to mediate and provide advice on various financial products.
Stan enjoys his work through contact with clients and the opportunity to get to know them better. Stan's goal is to guide each client as best as possible during the process. In his spare time he often plays football and relaxes by watching good series.
Louise Albrecht
Louise supports management in various areas, such as marketing, HR, recruitment, and compliance. Additionally, she coordinates events and contributes to organizational processes. She works closely with the office director and the partners.
In addition to her work at KWPS, Louise is studying Media & Culture at the University of Amsterdam. During high school, she tutored and mentored students. After that, she ran her own marketing company in Indonesia.
In her free time, Louise enjoys relaxing at home with her cat Lola or unwinding at a good restaurant with a glass of red wine. She also loves exercising and spending time with friends.
